Compare More Easily in Apple Mail

In Apple Mail, if you need to work back and forth between two different views of Mail's mailbox contents, you can do so quite easily. For example, you might want to look at a mailbox holding all filtered-in sales orders from the past week while also looking at a smart mailbox showing unanswered customer questions.

To avoid constantly clicking between mailbox views and losing your context each time, choose File > New Viewer window to get a second window and then arrange each window as desired.

SiteCam Turns 1.1

Yesterday, Rearden Technology released SiteCam 1.1, a free upgrade to owners of the $129 SiteCam 1.0. SiteCam, software that controls and automates setting up a Web camera (one that places images or video on a Web site), now has anti-hijacking features that prevent other sites from grabbing a SiteCam video stream and displaying it elsewhere (this problem is generic to Web camera software). In addition to some bug fixes, the new version improves on archiving of QuickTime time-lapse movies, streaming video, caption display, and documentation.
