Timbuktu Pro Holiday Discount
Netopia is offering a discount on Timbuktu Pro through 31-Dec-97 (North American customers only). A twin-pack of Timbuktu Pro 4.0 costs $99.95 and a single license costs $69.95 (subtract $10 for electronic download prices). We've not tried this, but Timbuktu Pro's Direct Dial capability theoretically enables you to connect to another Mac via modem, and the Intercom feature enables you to talk to the other person while you're connected. Thus, Timbuktu Pro 4.0 could be a good way to help a friend or relative who's trying to set up a new Mac or piece of software over the holiday season.
