Option-Click in Scroll Bars for Jump Scrolling

In Mac OS X in general, and thus in most native Mac OS X applications, hold down the Option key and click anywhere in a window's scroll bar to jump to that spot (rather than scrolling one screen). If you like this behavior, you can make it the default in the Appearance preference pane. For "Click in the scroll bar to:" select "Jump to here."

Macworld Expo NY Events List Online

Ilene Hoffman has once again posted the Robert Hess Memorial Macworld Expo Events List. If you're planning on attending Macworld Expo in New York City from 07-Jul-98 through 10-Jul-98, check the list for public events to attend while you're there. If you are hosting an event at Macworld, make sure to fill out the Event Submission Form. Also, we encourage anyone planning an event to read "Macworld Geek Party Guide" from TidBITS 415 for hints and tips on how to throw a successful trade show party, something that's done all too infrequently.
