Stop Eye Strain in Excel 2008

You can make text bigger in Excel by zooming to a larger percentage with the Zoom control in the toolbar, or by selecting the cells containing too-small text, choosing Format > Cells (Command-1), and then setting options in the Font pane. You can also increase the default font size for new sheets by modifying the Size field (next to the Standard Font field) in the General pane of Excel's preferences.

Poll Results: Embracing the Digital Lifestyle? Following Steve Jobs's Macworld Expo keynote outlining Apple's vision of the "digital lifestyle," we wanted to hear from readers who may not have been in the glow of Jobs's patented reality distortion field. Do you think Apple is on target with their new emphasis on making the Macintosh the "digital hub" for a "digital lifestyle?" Of the 500-plus respondents, 72 percent believe the strategy makes sense, echoing our thoughts that Apple is putting its spin on what's already happening in the real world. However, 21 percent think it's too early to say whether Apple is on target - the enthusiasm of early adopters can sometimes be misleading over the long run. Six percent of respondents think Apple is clueless and chasing a phantom market. Only the fullness of time will reveal the brilliance or cluelessness of Apple's current vision, so keep watching this space for our impressions of how it all unfolds and pass on your thoughts in the TidBITS Talk discussion.
