Create SmartArt Graphics Diagrams from Lists in PowerPoint
In PowerPoint 2008, if you select a bullet list, click the SmartArt Graphics tab, and then click one of PowerPoint's SmartArt Graphic diagrams, PowerPoint automatically uses the text of your bullet list when creating the diagram.

Tristan Turns Five
Tristan Turns Five -- At Macworld Expo in San Francisco five years ago, I had to leave a day earlier than planned to make it home in time for Tristan to be born. When we announced the happy event in TidBITS-463, I asked readers to send Tristan email with your thoughts on what the world is like today, what you think of our collective future, the most important lessons you've learned, and what you think of Tonya and me and the work we've accomplished over the years. More than 600 of you sent truly fabulous notes that I'm sure Tristan will be fascinated to read in ten years (at least if there isn't a member of the opposite sex in the room). In honor of his fifth birthday, which he enjoyed immensely with my sister Jennifer while we went to Macworld Expo, I'd like to ask that you once again send him email at <tristan@tidbits.com> with whatever thoughts you feel he'll find interesting or important later on in life. Who knows, maybe he'll write a book about the experience some day. Thanks! [ACE]
