Talking Your Way Out of a Plastic Bag
TidBITS honcho Adam Engst called me the other morning as I was about to hop on my bike for my commute to work with the news that Apple had just announced there would be a real iPhone software development kit. That was good news, as I had a scoop on the topic a week before, but the secondary news was that an iPhone works in a plastic bag.
Covered in spandex and space-age water-resistant fabrics, I stuck my iPhone in a plastic Ziploc bag - brand names are a must for an iPhone - to prevent it from getting any water in it during my expected wet ride. The microphone and ear speaker (does that have a special name?) worked just fine. Another scoop!
